Codependency: An Evaluation in Terms of Depression, Need for Social Approval and Self-Love/Self-Efficacy

Purpose: The purpose of the current study is to investigate pre-service teachers’ depression, needs for social approval and selflove/self-efficacy as predictors codependency. It also aimed in this research compare need socialapproval, self-love/self-efficacy codependency according various variables.Design/Methodology/Approach: was conducted on 195 education faculty students (156 females 39 males) andused Beck Depression Inventory, Need Social Approval Scale, Spann-Fischer Codependency Scale SelfLove/Self-Efficacy collect data. In analysis collected data, t test, One Way Anova, Pearson Moment-ProductsCorrelation Coefficient Multiple Regression Analysis were used.Findings: As a result analyses, it found that approval, self-love self-efficacy variablesexplain 49% be variable making greatest contribution. Self-efficacy wasfound not any contribution model. While gender leading no significant difference, theanalyses taking birth order into consideration revealed firstborn has higher compared others.Conclusions: This important terms variables predict findings studyare discussed shed light future codependency, depression self-love/selfefficacy.
